I spent 7 hours on a boat this weekend. I am sunburnt out of my mind. One of my best friends went with her family and her family friends on a boat and I got invited because I’ve known her and her family FOREVER. I think I’ve decided that there is a certain amount of time you can spend on a boat. I would say 4 or 5 hours TOPS. I love a good lake moment. Ride around, swim a little, tan, drink some sodas, eat a lot of half-soggy chips and maybe a dry sandwich, go home. That’s great! So much fun! Yay! But then you move past your max amount of hours. Then you are just on a lake. You are on a very hot lake. With lots of people. Also with 3 insane children. It’s a very small boat. Did I mention it’s really hot? Yes, well, it’s really hot. Me and my friend inevitably got bored and tried to tan some more. However, we had a sleepover the night before and got about 5 hours of sleep. So we both fell back asleep. ON the boat. In the sun. No one woke us up. Even when the heat and UV for the day PEAKED. Nope. We were dead asleep. We are both sunburnt. Very, very badly. My back hurts. But, not to totally dismiss the entire experience. It was still really fun. I loved seeing my friend and I did her nails. They are so freaking cute. They took like a million hours though. We also watched some more West Wing. I’ve managed to get her invested with me which is wonderful because that show is SOOOOOO good. Other than my boat “adventure” I spent a lot of time rearranging my room. I couldn’t tell you what triggers it but sometimes I have these odd ADHD moments where I end up with enough energy to run a marathon. Except I hate running and I think people who run for fun should be studied for science because they are clearly insane. So instead I went into the HOARD that was my closet and sorted all of my clothes. It took forever given the fact that even though I love to say “I HAVE NO CLOTHES!” I actually do have clothes. Lots and lots of clothes. More clothes than any regular person should have. But, now I have less clothes, and I can actually step foot into my closet. It’s a miracle. After that endeavor I still had energy PLUS the added energy from getting something annoying done so I turned to rearranging my entire room. My walls are highkey covered in posters and pictures, so it took a while to move everything where it needed to be. Also I had to accommodate the fact that for some evil reason my bedroom is consistently 1 million degrees. So I have to keep my furniture off of my vent so I don’t quite literally melt into a puddle. It took some effort but I fear my room is now adorable. Also almost fully clean. Yes. Go ahead. Clap. Thank you! I think that’s all for my update. The moral of the story is this; don’t stay on a boat for longer than 4 hours because then you aren’t on a BOAT you're just…on a boat…..
